Welcome to the herd!
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25

Good morning Zebras,
Am I the only one who thinks this situation would be a
whole lot better if some humility was introduced?
Under the heading of “Practical Warnings” or “Warnings Against
Folly” depending which version you are reading Solomon gives this advice: “if
you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth, then
do this, my son, to free yourself, since you have fallen into your neighbor’s
hands: Go and humble yourself; press your plea with your neighbor!” (Proverbs 6:2-3)
And then he goes on to list the things God hates: There are
six things the Lord hates, seven
that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed
innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to
rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up
dissension among brothers. (Proverbs 6:16-19)
God hates lies, pride and people who stir up dissension, to
me that sounds like both sides.
I believe this is God’s “war” orchestrated for His honor
and glory, for a goal I cannot see, because I believe the Bible teaches God is sovereign,
which means nothing happens He does not allow.
“God’s sovereignty
means that if there’s anybody in this wide world of sinful men that should be
restful and peaceful in an hour like this, it should be Christians. We should not be under the burden of
apprehension and worry because we are the children of a God who is always free
to do as He pleases.” A.J. Tozer
However, for your peace of mind, it doesn’t matter what I
believe, and it doesn’t matter what Tozer believes, it matters what God says
and what you believe.
If you believe God is in control of all things and you know
that He is both loving and good, then you can be at peace even if the world
goes to war.
If you don’t, but you think you would like to, there are
four videos on YouTube under “Zebra Ministries” that might help.
Love,
Jill
