Welcome to the herd!
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25

Good morning
Zebras,
I love you.
I have two
children, a daughter 23 and a son 21. Years ago, God showed me my primary role in my
children’s life was prayer warrior. He
would take care of them, guide them, protect them and teach them, through me and
through others, my job was to trust, follow His leading and pray.
Recently I have
been praying for Nick a lot. There have
been some decisions in his life that needed the wisdom of God. So almost every morning I get up and text him
something encouraging to remind him that prayer cover is awake and on the job.
Some days he
responds and some days he doesn’t. If he
goes multiple days without responding I start to feel underappreciated which is
silly because I know he appreciates my prayer.
But it was also very convicting when I realized how often I forget to
thank God for the same thing.
Romans 8:26–27:
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we
ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that
words cannot express. And He who
searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes
for the saints in accordance with God’s will.
Romans 8:34: Who
is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to
life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
The Holy Spirit
and Jesus both pray on our behalf, they just don’t send us a daily text. And although I thank Him for a lot of things,
I don’t think I thank Him for that often enough.
Forgive me God
for expecting my son to show gratitude for the tiny little prayers said on his
behalf when I forget to thank You for constantly interceding on my behalf. Lord, I love You, forgive me for taking Your
intercession for granted. Amen.
Enjoy your
weekend Zebras knowing you are loved and prayed for.
Love,
Jill
