Zebra Ministries

Welcome to the herd!

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25

Good morning Zebras,
Zebra Gathering Part Two: Gloria was the third member of our group and she said God showed her something different when Kathy shared the rowing story. She said saw the four people in the boat rowing as God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit and us.
Isn’t that an incredible visual?!
Us with God the Father, the almighty God, creator of heaven and earth, whose words spoke us into being; God the Son, Jesus Christ whose blood repaired our relationship with God and serves as our intercessor to the Father; and God the Holy Spirit whose presence in our life allows us to hear and see God in such a personal way because He lives in us; all rowing in unity for the same goal.
That picture is so inspiring it leaves me speechless! And it reminded me of all the things Jesus taught in the Upper Room about remaining connected to the vine including this prayer:
John 17:20–21 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
Jesus in God, God in Christ and us in both. Such a life-changing truth.
Just think about this for a minute, if you were on a rowing team with the three strongest men in the world how hard would you have to row? You’d have to do your part of course, but the results would really be in their hands.
The same is true of our relationship with God. He’s in control, and able to win. He is by far the strongest member of the team, all He is asking for us to do is to love Him with our whole heart, mind, body and soul and row, to the best of our ability, in the direction He is leading.
Honestly, what could be more encouraging than that?!
I love you Zebras, enjoy your weekend.
Jill
