Zebra Ministries

Welcome to the herd!

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25

Good morning Zebras,

Bite-size truths today, hopefully one of them is just what you needed to hear.

God is good because His Word says He is.  You can’t judge His goodness by your life or what you see in the world.  Even if everything around you is bad, God is still good.

Our self-worth doesn’t come from the world or our accomplishments, it comes from being loved by God.  That way it never changes.

We need to get over ourselves and focus on Him instead.  Being aware of how often you use the pronoun “I” is a good place to start.
God cares more about our holiness than He does about our happiness and He is willing to do all the work it takes to grind off our rough edges.  Nothing less than the image of Christ will do for those who follow Him.

God’s people are filled with the Holy Spirit and they are way stronger than they realize.  It is time to flex our muscles and live lives that honor Him.

Obedience to the commandments of God is not an option.  No one who claims to follow Jesus lives a life defined by sin.  The power we just talked about insures we can walk in victory, but if we do sin we are already forgiven because of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Money is not a big deal with God.  Jesus meant it when He said: “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Pride, on the other hand, is a HUGE deal with God, far bigger than we realize.  As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”  If you want to transform your faith pray to see it through non-American eyes.  You will be changed by what God shows you.

God is sovereign and in control so His people can be at peace.  We can live with joy knowing we are on the “winning team” because nothing man can do will change our eternal destiny.

And you limit how well you know God.  He is always there ready to chat and teach you are the one too busy to sit down and listen.

Love,
Jill
