Welcome to the herd!
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25

Good morning Zebras,
I love you.
Ever since the fires Gary has taken to calling the window I
left open to the smoke “the sin window.”
As in “Did you close the sin window?”
In our life there are many windows through which Satan can
get in and cause trouble. But we make
our lives more miserable if we keep reopening windows God has already closed.
One popular window is the idea of feeling loved, please permanently
close that window by writing on a big piece of paper “God loves me, He sent His
son to pay the price for my sins and if He never did another thing for me, that
is more than enough to prove His love. And because His love lives in me I can
supernaturally love others.”
God loves you Zebras, it is a fact and that window needs to
stay shut because the love of God and the cross of Christ are the foundation
for everything we do.
Another window that needs to be slammed shut and bolted
shut is the “lack of faith in God” window.
That window can take many forms, but its affect is always to get God’s
people discouraged and off-track.
God is faithful, He will do as He has promised, you do not
need to concern yourself with that. Instead concern yourself with listening to God
and doing as He asks even if the instructions are rather odd.
Satan would like nothing better than to get all of God’s
workers discouraged and out of the game. And one easy way to do that, at least
for me, is to make us start wondering if our work really matters. If it is work
that God has told you to do, it matters, even if you don’t see any results. Our job is to listen and obey not evaluate
the outcome.
One good way to keep a window shut is to write down
everything that happened when God shut it and then read it the next time you
are tempted to open it “just a crack.”
God shuts windows and allows us to live in peace in “His
house” safe from the enemy. We are the
ones who keeps reopening them.
Zebras, the time for fence sitting is over. You are either for Him or against Him. And if you are for Him then “batten down the
hatches,” believe the things you read in the Bible are true, and get to work because
the storm is only going to get worse.
Love,
Jill
