Welcome to the herd!
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25

Good morning
Zebras,
I love
you. On Facebook, Jo comment on Saturday’s post:
“You know Jill,
we get "tickled" enough. Since
I have moved around a lot I can say without offending anyone that I has been
years since I went to church and by the time the preacher was finished the Lord
had pointed out clearly in lots of places things I needed to respond to. I went home fired up with my notes knowing
right where I needed to get into the word next. More recently the sermons maybe have a serious
title sometimes, but it is very much entertainment.”
I
’m posting it
because I felt God’s Spirit when I read it, hopefully you did too.
Think about how
you left church yesterday. Did you come
home fired up to delve into God’s Word?
Did being with other believers make you want to run harder and faster
after God? Were you so excited about
being in His presence that you came home willing to give up everything that
hinders your relationship with Him? Or
were you thinking about breakfast.
Revivals have
always started through the church, but if everyone in the church is happy in
their lukewarmness the revival will stop before it has even gotten started.
Please Zebras,
if you see something different when you read the Word of God than what you see
being lived out in your life, repent and change. God needs His people zealous for His name and
making their decisions not on what “makes them comfortable” or even on “what is
best for others” but on what brings Him honor.
Love,
Jill
I need to put
this caveat on this post. If you are
lukewarm you have no one to blame but yourself and the church is not a bunch of
buildings, it is us-God’s people called by His name. Finger pointing will not change things, what
changes things is an honest reevaluation of your life and a yielding of your
will to God. And no one, no one, can do
that for you. Love, Jill
