Welcome to the herd!
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25

Open the Door!
Revelation 3:20
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
Good morning ladies,
Our city is having an educational crisis. The state has no funds so the school district must make cuts that directly affect the quality of our children’s education.
A lot of people are upset about it and it is a major topic of conversation.
Last night I received a call from the Superintendent of Schools telling me about a Telephone Town Meeting. I had never heard of such a thing.
It is actually quite cool.
On Tuesday March 30th at 7:00pm every registered voter in our town is going to receive a phone call. The Superintendent will then come on and explain the state of the schools and suggest some possible solutions. Afterwards we will be asked a series of questions which we can respond to using the keypad on our phones.
The recorded phone call ended by urging us to be home and answer our phone on March 30th so that our voice could be heard.
For some reason that made me cry.
What about God’s voice?
Everyday God knocks on the door and people don’t answer. Everyday He has something He wants to say that goes unheard. Everyday people live their lives without Him.
And that is so sad. It is not what God intended.
God did not save us just so that He could see us in heaven. He saved us so that He could have a relationship with us. So that He could walk with us and talk with us each and everyday.
But people are too busy to listen.
Today if you hear God knocking, stop and listen or better yet give Him a call.
Love,
Jill
